2008

We are now back in Belfast - and believe it or not: after a month of rain, rain, rain -  it has been dry since we got back! And it will probably last a few more days.A good friend had looked after the house, cut the grass, filled the fridge and left flowers for us to say welcome...so now we dare believe that we shall settle and be happy here. :o)

We spent 3 weeks in Liseleje - and the weather was really nice. We saw lots of blue skies and very little rain during the day .

We saw lots of friends and family -but I didn't manage to take pictures of everybody.

Here Simon digs for a treasure in the compost heap in Liseleje

We were invited for a lovely lunch at Frederiksberg  Brother and Sister
We also managed a visit to Jens and Mariannes new house.  In Svendborg we stayed at Hotel Ærø.

Martin cooked us a fantastic Jamie Oliver inspired dinner
Martins building  this is the nighttime view  and the daytime view. Looks more impressive in real life!!
And this picture is from June - we simply didn't manage to be with both boys at the same time.  On our way back to Belfast we went via Birmingham to visit the Handsworth Cemetary.
We laid flowers for Pouls dad.
As an extra bonus we managed to visit Pouls cousin, Robert and his wife Elaine in Walsall.
St Georges market in Belfast is open on a Saturday morning.

Theres's always a band to entertain shoppers  All sorts of delicatessen are on sale including whole roast pig (hog roast) -  - cheeses -

Here is me admiring labradors at the Belfast Dog Show  - and why, you may ask????  Well, mainly  (and only) because we will be getting our own labrador soon,  so we wanted to check out the breed. This one was very well behaved (as ours will be....)
Our trip round the Ards Peninsula took us to some beautiful places  Here the tide was out (!)  We stopped for morning tea in Kircubbin
This is Portaferry, where you catch the small ferry to take you to the other side: Strangford  Portaferry Hotel  Jus a nice view
